My Tailor is Joh: Haute couture tailoring made in Paris

While the women's wardrobe constantly seeks the perfect balance between timeless elegance and modern comfort, one Parisian house particularly stands out: My Tailor is Joh.

Founded by Johanna Richard, this brand specializing in women's suits — available in ready-to-wear and bespoke — has established itself as an essential reference for those who wish to align their silhouette with their ambitions.

Behind My Tailor is Joh lies the unique expertise of its creator, Johanna Richard. With a rich career in the world of costume design, she now translates the rigor, sense of movement, and theatrical drape into the modern woman's wardrobe.

Her specialty? High-end feminine tailoring. Each jacket and pair of trousers is designed to structure the look while offering absolute freedom, transforming the suit into a true armor of daily confidence.

Expertise inherited from the Opera (and family)

It's no coincidence that the brand's cuts are so precise. Johanna Richard fell into the world of couture at a very young age: with a mother who was a haute couture pattern maker for the famous designer Jacques Heim, she grew up surrounded by patterns and noble fabrics. It was therefore natural for her to develop her eye and expert hands as a costume designer and workshop manager at the Paris Opéra and the Opéra-Comique.

Working for the stage requires absolute mastery of clothing: it must be spectacular, withstand the artists' movements, and flatter all body types, without ever hindering freedom of action.
It is this technical and artistic rigor, combined with her family heritage, that Johanna now translates into ready-to-wear and bespoke. She designs each model herself in Paris, imbuing her suits with impeccable structure and a masterful drape. Far from rigid and uncomfortable costumes, her creations move with the body.

A committed and ultra-local fashion

Beyond style, My Tailor is Joh adheres to strict ethical standards. It all begins on Johanna's desk: she personally designs each model in Paris, from the first sketch to the smallest technical detail. This complete mastery of creation ensures a unique silhouette, far from the standardized models of mass distribution.

Once designed, the pieces are handcrafted in small Parisian workshops. Producing in Paris is a non-negotiable choice for Johanna, to promote local expertise and ensure total transparency in manufacturing.

For materials, the house prioritizes short supply chains and upcycling. Johanna sources deadstock natural and noble fabrics abandoned by the biggest haute couture houses. This is a double win: it avoids waste by reusing sublime fabrics, and it gives the collections a very exclusive feel.

Focus on the Spring-Summer 2026 collection

For this new season, the brand plays with lines, light materials, and colors with
a fresh and bold collection. Two pieces are already vying for the spotlight:

  • The Illusion Suit: Already featured and acclaimed in a previous collection, this signature model makes its big comeback. Proof that a good cut transcends seasons, Johanna reinvents it this summer in a superb lightweight linen, available in three versions: a luminous ivory, an ultra-graphic striped brown, and an absolutely soft celadon blue.

The tailored jacket is slightly fitted and mid-length with light interlining. It features two single-welt pockets on the front, a back vent, and closes with a single overlap on the front. Tone-on-tone matte and shiny buttons subtly adorn the cuffs and the front of the tailored jacket.<!--nl--><!--nl-->The tailored trousers have a wide cut with a front pleat, and feature two Italian pockets and a belted waistband.

  • The Apparence Dress: For warmer days, this 100% cotton shirt dress is a seasonal must-have. Fluid yet structured, it makes a statement in three stunning colors: a super fresh lagoon blue, a vibrant poppy red, and a very chic and timeless Havana tone.

This 100% cotton shirt dress, calf-length, has a concealed button placket down the entire front. It features short raglan sleeves with a series of pleats at the base, as well as two flap pockets on the chest and two side seam pockets. There is smocking in the middle of the back to cinch the waist and a wide topstitched belt finished with a metal buckle.
